We are so excited to introduce the Palang quilt, from our first collection of Full/Queen bedding!
A palang (which means “bed” in Gujarati) is type of cot found commonly in Kutch, made with an elaborate weaving of ropes around a wood or metal frame structure. The criss-crossing pattern of this quilt reminds me of the lattice of ropes on these traditional beds.
The front of this quilt is made using a clamp dye process with iron and myrobalan natural dyes. The back side is made from hand-woven, organic Kala cotton.
Natural and synthetic fiber filling made from cotton and upcycled textile scraps
Care: Machine wash cold gentle cycle with mild soap and separately from other items, line dry. Or hand wash or dry clean (best).
Handmade by artisans Kutch India. As each piece is dyed and stitched individually, there may be subtle variations from image.
